Director—Landmark College Success Center

Landmark College is seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial individual to serve as the new Director for the Bay Area Success Center. This exciting position combines leadership, innovation, and business administration with the opportunity to engage in social justice work alongside and on behalf of individuals with learning disabilities, ADHD, and autism.

About the Success Center:

Landmark College (LC) is the premier institution for neurodivergent students with learning disabilities such as dyslexia, ADHD, autism, or executive function challenges. A rapidly expanding institution, LC established a physical presence in the California Bay Area with the Success Center. The Success Center provides social skill-building training and personalized coaching services in the areas of executive function, academic support, and college and workplace transition skills for neurodivergent teens, young adults, and adults.

Primary Function:

The Director of the Landmark College Success Center will have primary responsibility for all operations and fiscal oversite of the Success Center. The Director will engage in ongoing collaboration with the President of LC and the Vice President of Neurodiversity Research and Innovation on strategic planning and growth of the College beyond its Putney, Vermont campus. Additionally, the Director will further develop Success Center operations, recruit clients, develop and foster relationships with regional constituent groups (e.g., educational consultants, academic educational therapists, diagnostic evaluators, families), oversee service delivery, and supervise and Associate Director and administrative staff.

Working closely with various LC departments, the Director will oversee and participate in all marketing, financial, and compliance activities in accordance with local and federal law.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate directly with the President of LC and the Vice President of Neurodiversity Research and Innovation on the development of strategy and plans for expansion of LC services beyond Putney, Vermont with particular attention to the Bay Area.
  • Further develop and expand Landmark College Success Center services and enrollments as well as represent LC on the West Coast.
  • Further develop processes and ensure the efficiency of operational functions as they relate to the business of the Success Center-enrollment process, payments, and other functions.
  • Collaborate, manage, and maintain a strong and close working relationship with various LC departments to ensure alignment with the institutional mission and ensure coordinated outreach in the region.
  • Recruit, hire, and supervise the Success Center administrative staff working on-site and online.
  • Promote, market, and sell LC and the Success Center to neurodivergent students and clients in the region and beyond through in-person and online meetings, webinars, and presentations.
  • Collect, analyze, and make decisions using data to ensure the growth and profitability of the Success Center.
  • Manage and ensure maintenance of Success Center physical space and availability of operational supplies
  • Prepare reports, manage regional databases, and prepare outreach presentations as needed and requested
  • Perform other duties as assigned or directed by the President of LC and Vice President of Neurodiversity Research and Innovation.

Required

Qualifications and Skills:

This position requires a master’s degree or higher in a field related to marketing, sales, advancement/development, and/or outreach. Degrees in liberal arts, business administration, entrepreneurship, communications, educational leadership, and/or related fields will be considered. The right person for this job will have extensive local and regional knowledge; and be able to network and develop contacts with local and state educational agency policies, educational agencies, and school districts.

Excellent communication, written and verbal; supervision; strategic budgeting; and sales skills are essential. An entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to solve problems under pressure are critical. Flexibility and adaptability are critical.

Desired

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Prior experience with growing a business and improving efficiencies is highly desirable.
  • Experience with delivering presentations to small and large group audiences.
  • Familiarity and experience working with people learning disabilities, ADHD, autism, and executive function challenges are beneficial.
  • Knowledge of parent networks, educational consultant groups, and organizations that support neurodivergent people are highly desired.

Working Conditions:

The candidate must be able to work in general office conditions in our office currently located in San Mateo, CA, and remotely (as needed). The Director will be required to travel domestically.
