Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU role in a Day Surgery Unit, requiring a CA RN license and experience with adult and pediatric patients.

• Work in a hospital-based Day Surgery Unit within the PACU
• Care for both adult and pediatric patients in pre-op, PACU, and post-op settings
• Shifts are 4x10s with variable start times between 6:00 and 9:30
• No on-call or weekend shifts required
• Closing shift (09:30-19:00) may require staying late if a patient is not ready for discharge
• Responsible for care coordination, patient assessment, education, and support for both patients and families
• Work with both pre- and post-operative populations and transition patients through all stages of surgical care
• Only one holiday request for time off will be approved during the contract
• Candidates must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of signing
• Returning travelers may apply if at least one year has passed since previous employment with the facility

• Active CA RN license required
• Current BLS (AHA), ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience as an inpatient PACU RN or 2 years in an outpatient surgical setting
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Must be able to provide two supervisor references from within the past two years
