• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos
• Write simple correspondence
• Effectively present information in one‑to‑one and small‑group situations to customers, clients, and other employees
• Apply common sense to carry out detailed but uncomplicated written or oral instructions
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds

The Opportunity

The Part‑Time Associate reports to the Store Manager and performs management‑assigned duties, which may include but are not limited to: receiving inventory, stocking and maintaining a store section, operating a cash register, handling carry‑out services, and maintaining store cleanliness.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

• Maintain a store section as assigned; order, receive, and stock merchandise using proper equipment; ensure proper pricing; check product date codes; stock shelves, end displays, floor stacks, and refrigerated/frozen cases; prepare perishable products; set up advertising displays; review invoices for accuracy.
• Clean and maintain sanitation standards in all interior and exterior areas of the store and parking lot as directed.
• Operate a cash register, accept payment, make change, process check/charge/debit transactions, handle cash and/or credit refunds (when approved), and verify customer eligibility when selling alcoholic beverages.
• Offer friendly, knowledgeable, efficient, and courteous assistance to customers by providing current store and product information; load customer purchases into vehicles when requested.
• Perform basic bookkeeping duties; record lost/damaged goods and store supplies using appropriate tools.
