• A seasoned, startup-centric Head of Engineering, who can be a player, a coach and a sounding board of a multi-disciplinary engineering.
• You understand the importance of reliable monitoring, deployment strategies, and a highly scalable and robust cloud infrastructure.
• You have experience designing, building, and running engineering teams that have focused on the previous bullet points.
• You can quickly iterate with product and design teams as part of a tight user-validated feedback loop and have experience in agile and ability to work with product to define a version-based roll out scenarios.
• You have experience with best practices and patterns that allow the most skilled engineering teams to communicate effectively and deliver quickly and regularly.

• You will help your team build problem-solving skills by practicing reflective listening, asking good questions, and giving timely, direct, and kind feedback and encouragement.
• Recruit, engage, and retain great problem-solvers and collaborators.
• Roll up your sleeves to create new processes and keep up with industry trends and identify new tools to use to solve technical problems.
• Manage risks, dependencies, and tradeoffs inevitable in complex project delivery.
• Work hand‑in‑hand with technical leads and experts.

• Data Engineering: experience with Python, Prefect, Dask, Parquet, AWS (S3, Glue/Athena, RDS).
• Core/Full‑Stack Engineering: experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Gitlab CI, Terraform, Golang (Google Protobuf), Postgre
  
  SQL, Timescale
  
  DB, React, Redux.
• Experience with microservices.

• Understanding of engineering best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding & security standards, code review, source control, build, QA, deployment and development operations (Prior, hands‑on experience as an engineer required).
• Broad knowledge of programming languages, software architecture, design and advanced data systems.
• Bring a high level of technical expertise, guidance, and strategic decision making to key areas including web infrastructure, microservices architecture, machine learning, and its orchestration, data pipelines, Dev Ops, CI/CD, internal tools.

• Experience working in a startup environment or a fintech company.
• Experience building APIs geared towards developers/financial institutions.
• Experience with HTTP APIs, scalable cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred), Internet Security & Privacy mechanisms, microservices orchestration experience, Kubernetes.

• Primarily large enterprise experience.
