Production Inventory & Warehouse Manager

We are looking for a Production Inventory and Warehouse Manager to join our team in San Mateo, California on a contract basis for a 6+ month engagement. This is a hands-on individual contributor role focused on inventory and warehouse operations in a hardware manufacturing environment.

• Manage inventory and warehouse operations from startup or immature processes toward organized production workflows
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) initiatives, including material readiness and build support
• Work with Bills of Materials (BOMs), ERP/MRP systems, inventory tracking, cycle counts, kitting, receiving, and material control
• Build and improve warehouse processes and systems from the ground up
• Perform hands-on work on the warehouse floor alongside the team
• Manage high-mix and prototype-to-production workflows

• Required
  • 5–8+ years of inventory and warehouse operations experience
  • Multiple NPI (New Product Introduction) experiences, ideally 2 or more
  • Demonstrated experience transitioning inventory and warehouse operations from startup/immature processes to organized production processes
  • Hands-on knowledge of BOMs, ERP/MRP systems, inventory tracking, cycle counts, kitting, receiving, and material control
  • Willingness and ability to work directly on the warehouse floor
  • Ability to build and improve processes and systems from the ground up
  • Hardware manufacturing background in sectors such as robotics, automotive, drones, consumer electronics, or electromechanical products
• Preferred
  • Experience moving products from prototype or NPI phase into actual production within a fast-moving hardware company
  • High-mix and prototype-to-production background
