We are seeking a passionate and experienced Language Arts Tutor to join our team and provide academic support to middle school students. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in language arts and a proven ability to effectively teach and tutor students in a classroom setting.

Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized and small-group (10 students max) language arts instruction: Assist students with homework, clarify concepts, and address individual learning needs in areas such as reading comprehension, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and spelling.
• Develop and implement engaging and effective lesson plans: Utilize a variety of teaching methods, including creative writing exercises, reading discussions, and interactive games, to cater to different learning styles.
• Create a positive and supportive learning environment: Foster a sense of community and encourage student participation and critical thinking.
• Maintain accurate student records: Track progress, identify areas of improvement, and communicate with parents/guardians as needed.
• Collaborate with teachers and school staff: Share insights and coordinate efforts to support student success.
• Manage classroom behavior and ensure a safe and productive learning environment.

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in teaching or tutoring middle school students.

• Proven ability to differentiate instruction and meet the diverse needs of students.
• Passion for working with middle school students and a desire to make a difference in their lives.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
