Job Summary
This position leads the development and execution of comprehensive total rewards strategies that align with Marin Health‑wide goals. The role partners with Human Resources leadership and stakeholders to enhance employee experience through competitive compensation, benefits, and recognition programs. Responsibilities include managing compensation structures, incentive plans, and benefit programs, maintaining regulatory compliance, and ensuring timely communication and reporting.
- Develop, implement, and maintain competitive compensation structures, salary bands, and incentive programs aligned with organizational goals and market trends.
- Lead annual salary planning and merit increase processes.
- Conduct salary benchmarking and market analysis using surveys and compensation software.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition to design competitive compensation offers and retention strategies.
- Administer enterprise‑wide benefits programs, including pensions, 401(k) plans, life insurance, disability coverage, health benefits, flexible spending plans, and COBRA issuance.
- Oversee administration of all non‑occupational leave of absence requests and coordinate with third‑party vendors.
- Advise employees and departments on benefits and leave policies, acting as liaison between Payroll, Employee Health, and Labor Relations.
- Develop and refine communication strategies to enhance employee awareness and participation in total rewards offerings.
- Analyze data and metrics to measure program effectiveness and recommend improvements.
- Maintain a procedure manual and coordinate delivery of services via the HRIS.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred;
Master’s degree highly desirable. - Experience:
Minimum of five (5) years in total rewards, compensation, and benefits administration, preferably in a healthcare setting. - Knowledge of healthcare industry‑specific compensation trends and best practices.
- Proficiency in compensation analysis tools (e.g., Market Pay, Pay Scale) and HRIS systems (Workday preferred).
- In‑depth knowledge of medical, dental, vision, prescription, COBRA, FSA, life and disability insurance, paid time off, employee assistance programs, and other benefit programs.
- Strong project management skills, ability to lead multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to act with diplomacy and tact.
- Customer‑service oriented, with good judgment and confidentiality.
- Analytical skills to interpret data and make data‑driven recommendations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and automated benefits administration systems.
