• Fingerprint and criminal background clearance required prior to starting

• Prepare and process regular, variable, and supplemental payrolls
• Ensure accuracy of payroll data and compliance with applicable laws and regulations
• Administer employee leaves and health & welfare benefits, including open enrollment and premium collection
• Maintain payroll records and support reporting requirements (ACA, EDD, US Census, GASB, etc.)
• Serve as a resource for staff and external agencies regarding payroll and retirement matters
• Participate in payroll-related meetings and trainings
• Collaborate with HR and finance leadership on payroll-related matters
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all employee-related transactions

• 2–3+ years of hands‑on payroll experience (public sector or similar environment a plus)
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Proficiency in Excel and Google Suite; open to learning new systems
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a team‑oriented environment
• Comfortable working with a variety of personalities across departments
