Associate Attorney – Complex Commercial Litigation (4th Year+)

We are a boutique litigation firm handling sophisticated high‑end, complex civil disputes, seeking a 4th‑year or higher legal associate, admitted in California State Courts in good standing, to join our collaborative, team‑oriented practice. This role is ideal for an experienced litigator who enjoys challenging work and client engagement while working in a supportive and balanced environment.

• Collaborate with partners and team members on high‑end complex civil litigation matters
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery with a focus onquality and efficiency
• Conduct legal research and provide thoughtful strategic analysis
• Participate in depositions, mediations, hearings, and trial preparation (experience‑level appropriate)
• Communicate professionally with clients and opposing counsel
• Mentor junior attorneys and staff as appropriate
• Handle all aspects of litigation: drafting, pleadings, motions, discovery, meet and confer, taking depositions, client interaction, and direct participation in trials and arbitrations.

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Active license and good standing with the California Bar and admitted to California State Courts and Federal Courts
• 4+ years of civil litigation experience
• Strong legal writing, analytical skills, and professional judgment
• Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with a team
• Interest in developing your own practice and long‑term growth within a small firm
• Reasonable billable expectations (1,750 hours annually, with flexibility)
• Emphasis on teamwork, efficiency, and quality
• Collegial, low‑ego environment with direct partner access
• 9‑5 hours Monday‑Friday (expect more hours during filings and trial)
