Job Description Summary

The Maintenance Technician provides support and is accountable for delivering on our commitments to our residents. This includes quality move-ins, residential satisfaction, expedited service, and personal attention to the resident. The Maintenance Technician responds to our residents' service needs and is instrumental in helping deliver superior customer service to our residents.

Essential

Job Duties
  • Prepares make ready apartments, including painting, carpet repairs, cleaning, general repairs, and housekeeping duties to ensure a quality move-in experience.
  • Responds promptly and professionally to resident requests.
  • Possesses knowledge of maintenance functions such as plumbing, HVAC, basic electric, carpentry, painting, and snow removal.
  • Maintains grounds, pools/hot tubs, common areas, and amenities to keep them clean, operational, and safe.
  • Participates in on-call scheduling for after-hours emergencies.
  • Reports maintenance concerns to the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Performs scheduled maintenance tasks as directed.
  • Knowledgeable of fair housing laws.
  • Attends required training programs.
  • Completes all duties promptly and professionally.
  • Delivers superior customer service and maintains a professional appearance.
  • Dresses according to company standards.
  • Follows safety procedures and safeguards tools and equipment.
  • Maintains reliable attendance and reports any issues.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Competencies
    • Valid Driver's license, EPA 608 Type II, CPO or local certification.
    • Ability to read and understand manuals and safety instructions.
    • Ability to interpret data and solve routine problems.
    • Uses common sense to follow instructions.
    • Proficient in basic math and report writing.
    • Adheres to safety procedures.
    Education & Experience
    • High School Diploma, GED, or vocational training.
    • At least 1 year of related experience.
    Work Environment & Physical Demands

    Operates in a professional office and outdoor environment, requiring travel, physical activity, and the ability to lift up to 100 pounds.

    Additional Information
