Chem Tutor

We are seeking personable, focused, and enthusiastic individuals to tutor Chemistry at our center in San Ramon, CA. Candidates should have strong chemistry knowledge, including AP Chemistry content, be able to convey material to students of all backgrounds, and be willing to commit through the 2025‑2026 academic year.

Position: 1 part‑time tutor (18‑24 hrs/wk). Training occurs at the San Ramon center. The tutor must be available during the school year, including Mon‑Thurs 3:30‑10:00 pm and weekends 10:00 am‑9:00 pm, with shifts scheduled based on availability and student demand.

• Pay: $33/hr (and above, DOE)
• Guaranteed set shifts; no loss of hours.
• Paid training, prep time, and staff meetings.
• Tutors with >24 hrs/wk qualify for full‑time benefits, including company‑subsidized health insurance.

Science tutors must have a thorough understanding of and ability to teach Chemistry through the AP level. Prior tutoring experience is preferred, and a bachelor’s degree (or ongoing study toward a degree) is required. Tutors must be able to take initiative and work independently while collaborating with peers to develop and expand curricula. All candidates will take an assessment test in their subject prior to interviewing.
