Assistant Controller

Our client, a well-established real estate development and homebuilding company, is seeking an Assistant Controller to oversee corporate accounting operations and support financial reporting for a large, multi-entity organization.

San Ramon, CA, with an on-site schedule (five days per week to start).

• Manage daily accounting operations and supervise corporate accounting staff.
• Oversee month‑end close process and coordinate with divisional controllers.
• Review journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations for key accounts.
• Prepare consolidated financial statements and ensure compliance with internal controls.
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants for annual filings.
• Assist with quarterly and annual internal control reporting and special projects.

• 8+ years of relevant accounting experience, including staff supervision.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables required).
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.
