Overview
Business Office Float Full Time.
Under the direction of the Business Office Manager, responsible for covering any aspect of the business office necessary. Duties include scheduling, insurance verification, front desk, medical records, patient calls and chart building.
Must possess outstanding multitasking abilities, communication, teamwork, and ability to keep up in a fast‑paced environment. Should demonstrate previous customer service experience.
Responsibilities- Verify insurance prior to patient arrival, including Add‑Ons and Direct Admits.
- Obtain pre‑certification from insurance companies for procedures that require it.
- Request office notes from referring physician if needed for authorization.
- Calculate and inform patients of amount due.
- Communicate with the doctors' offices.
- Ensure all required forms are placed in designated areas of the patients' chart.
- Daily preparation of charts for next day’s surgeries within required deadline (no less than 3 days prior to surgery and for all cases scheduled four days or more in advance).
- Prepare medical consents for each chart prepared.
- Label necessary documents and add physician orders.
- Outbound collection calls to patients regarding medical invoices/bills, answering questions and setting up payment or payment plans.
- Utilize various collection strategies and methodologies to contact consumers in order to negotiate payment in full or arrangements on debt within federal, state and client collection guidelines and laws.
- Knowledge of health‑care financing and medical collections preferred.
- Other duties as assigned.

CompensationHourly Range: $24 to $30 per hour. Wages are determined based on qualifications and experience.
Requirements- Minimum 1–2 years of hospital or medical office experience required.
- Must communicate verbally and non‑verbally in a professional manner.
- Use time wisely to meet high‑paced demand.
- Show genuine desire to work and improve the hospital as a whole.
- Extreme multitasker.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology.
- Excellent phone etiquette and exceptional customer service skills.
