Senior Data Scientist Engineering San Ramon, California

Job Duties

Collaborate with the data science team, engineering, product management, and customers to develop and implement advanced Bayesian models and probabilistic programming solutions that address complex business problems and deliver value to clients. Apply expertise in Bayesian statistics, probabilistic programming, and scalable variational inference to design and develop state‑of‑the‑art models and algorithms tailored to the unique data structures and requirements of each project.

Lead customer data science projects end‑to‑end, from understanding business requirements and defining data science problems to developing interpretable insights and optimization algorithms for seamless product integration. Apply iterative development principles to rapidly identify and deliver high‑impact data science solutions while continuously refining and scaling models to address increasingly complex challenges. Proactively communicate with cross‑functional teams and customers, providing clear updates on progress, expected outcomes, and any infrastructural or scalability challenges that need resolution.

Work with other data scientists, serving as the organization’s expert in Bayesian statistics while fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation. Stay at the forefront of data science and machine learning research, designing and developing proofs of concept that leverage the latest advancements to drive business value. Continuously optimize and refine existing algorithms and models to enhance performance, scalability, and adaptability to evolving business needs.

Collaborate with engineering and product teams to ensure the seamless integration and deployment of data science solutions, contributing to the development of a robust and customer‑centric product.

Required Master’s or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Engineering (Any), or related field. Travel may be required to various unanticipated client sites throughout the US. The frequency of travel will be 10–15%.
