Job Description

Under the leadership of the Manager, Data Center and Cloud Operations, the IT Administrator is responsible for providing system support expertise to ensure all Azure cloud systems are operational and properly maintained. This includes proactive monitoring, capacity planning, managing existing infrastructure, and supporting system provisioning and storage allocation. The IT Administrator should have in-depth knowledge of all areas within the IT department, mentor other team members, and represent the department’s philosophies when interacting with other departments.

Strong technical analysis and proficiency in project management is preferred.

Specialization

Azure Cloud Systems Management & Veeam Backup Operations:
Engineer-level proficiency in day-to-day management of Azure IaaS/PaaS environments, including VM lifecycle, storage provisioning, networking, and performance tuning; expert in Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365, Veeam Backup for Microsoft Azure, and Veeam Backup & Replication for comprehensive data protection and recovery.

Job Responsibilities
  • Strong technical knowledge of Azure IaaS/PaaS, Windows and Linux operating systems in cloud.
  • Power Shell/Azure CLI scripting proficiency.
  • Enterprise proactive monitoring with Solar Winds SAM and Azure Monitor.
  • Hands‑on experience managing Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365, Veeam Backup for Microsoft Azure, and Veeam Backup & Replication.
  • Responsible for reliable operations with configuration and lifecycle management of Azure IaaS/PaaS resources, including VMs, storage, networking, and cloud-based applications. Deploy new Azure VMs, storage accounts, and file shares; provision and manage capacity using Azure Portal, Power Shell, and CLI.
  • Troubleshoot Azure infrastructure and application errors using diagnostic tools (Solar Winds, Cribl, Lansweeper, etc.). Document problems, resolutions, and impact assessments.
  • Prepare documentation and technical specifications for IT staff to support planning and implementation of new or upgraded Azure infrastructure.
  • Perform regular backup operations using Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365, Veeam Backup for Microsoft Azure, and Veeam Backup & Replication; implement data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures; conduct quarterly restore testing and log evidence in Service Now.
  • Responsible for Azure capacity, storage provisioning, and performance monitoring.
  • Lead Change Management, Incident Management, and Root Cause Analysis for all changes and issues within Azure Infrastructure, Security, and Operations.
  • Provide Tier 3 support for daily operational issues in Azure environments.
Required Experience And Professional Skills
  • Three or more years of experience in Azure or other cloud providers.
  • Three or more years’ experience in cloud systems implementation and support.
  • Hands‑on experience with Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365, Veeam Backup for Microsoft Azure, and Veeam Backup & Replication.
  • Working knowledge of Azure services, Windows and Linux operating systems in cloud required.
  • Proficiency in Solar Winds monitoring and alerting configuration.
  • Ability to set priorities and work independently and effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with business and technical staff.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment, prioritize multiple tasks, and problem‑solve under pressure of deadlines and resource constraints.
  • Healthcare experience preferred.
Required Education And Certifications
  • Education
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Certifications
    • Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate (AZ‑104) required or equivalent work experience.
    • Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE) preferred.
Additional Information

Salary: $75,000 - $97,000 Annual
