Java Senior Consultant

Infosys is seeking a Java Senior Consultant you will interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation Application Architecture definition and Design. You will play an important role in creating the high-level design artifacts. You will also deliver high quality code deliverables for a module lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation transition and warranty.

Candidate must be located within commuting distance of San Ramon CA. This position may require 10% travel.

• Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• Minimum 4 years of hands‑on experience with Java Springboot and Angular js for building scalable web applications.
• 10 years of overall software development experience.
• 3 years of proven experience in a Team Lead role.

Experience in JAVA Spring boot and Angular v21 technologies.

Hands‑on experience with Azure cloud platform including Logic apps Azure native tools like ADF Gateway API Mgmt etc.

Serve as the onsite point of contact for all development‑related activities.

Collaborate with client stakeholders to gather requirements clarify scope and provide technical guidance.

Coordinate with offshore teams to ensure timely delivery and quality of deliverables.

Lead code reviews enforce best practices and ensure compliance with architectural standards.

Manage sprint planning backlog grooming and participate in Agile ceremonies.

Identify risks propose mitigation strategies and ensure project timelines are met.

Provide mentorship and technical leadership to development teams.

Prepare and present status reports to client and internal leadership.

Develop code with quality scalability and extensibility

Provide work breakdown and estimates for complex software development tasks

Identify strategic/tactical solutions and provides risk assessments and recommendations

Nice to have

Strong understanding of Dev Ops practices.

Experience in Project life cycle activities on development projects along with Agile and Dynamic environment.

Ability to work in team in diverse/ multiple stakeholder environment

Analytical skills Strong verbal written communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment.

Experience in using Agile Project Management tools like Rally ALM JIRA etc.

• Leading the development and testing of Java and Angular applications.
• Managing and mentoring the Offshore development team.
• Collaborating with cross‑functional Agile teams to deliver high‑quality solutions.
• Handling stakeholder communication and onshore coordination.
• Conducting code reviews managing builds and deployments and working closely with the Dev Ops team.
• Ensuring optimal performance of components across a wide range of web‑capable devices and browsers.
• Driving technical excellence and continuous improvement across the team.

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
