Job Title: Power & Performance Systems Engineer
Location: San Ramon, CA
Duration: 12 Month Contract + Extensions
Start Date: ASAP
Pay: $70-85/hr
System Engineer - XR Power & Performance (TVC) - Power & Performance System Engineer
What You’ll Do- System Optimization:
Profile and optimize firmware for memory footprint, processing latency, and power consumption. - Testing & Documentation:
Write clean modular code, perform unit/integration testing, and document system architecture, APIs, and test plans. - Debugging: troubleshoot system-level issues using tools like logic analyzers, Monsoon, power rail, and JTAG debuggers.
- Experience:
3 to 5 years of professional experience in embedded software development. - OS Expertise: experience developing with Zephyr RTOS (highly preferred) or something similar.
- Languages:
C and C++ in resource-constrained embedded environments. - Hardware Interface:
Familiarity with MCU and debugging low-level protocols. - Tooling:
Experience with Git, build tools and modern CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with low-power wireless protocols (BLE, Wi-Fi, Thread, or Zigbee).
