Parker Plastics, Inc. in Sand Springs, OK is actively hiring Bottle Packers for 3rd Shift, 11:00 PM – 7:06 AM.
The ideal candidate will perform the inspection and packing of all types of containers, which are manufactured at the facility under the direction of the Production Supervisor or an assigned person. They may also operate other downstream equipment under the direction of the Production Supervisor or an assigned person, and assist in coaching lower‑level Bottle Packers regarding good company packing practices.
ResponsibilitiesAnd Duties
- Ensure a high‑quality bottle by visually inspecting bottles for defects, in accordance with plant quality improvement procedures.
- Package bottle according to customer’s specifications.
- Make cartons for the packaging of the finished bottles or assist other co‑workers in the making of cartons.
- Ensure that glue or tape is applied properly to the cartons.
- Grind bottles not meeting minimum quality standards (if applicable).
- Remove contaminants from bottles before grinding (if applicable).
- Maintain a high degree of cleanliness in the production area.
- Clear jams on downstream equipment.
- Housekeeping requirements in accordance with third‑party regulations.
- Perform rework where needed.
- Assist co‑workers where needed.
- Eventually help train new Bottle Packers.
- Perform job duties in a safe and productive manner; horseplay is strictly forbidden.
- Take directions and instructions from others in a pleasant manner.
- High‑school graduate or equivalent GED.
- Demonstrated ability to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions in the English language.
- Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds frequently, or 10 pounds constantly to move objects. Must be able to lift 30–35 pounds above head frequently, and 35–40 pounds occasionally.
- Hairnets, beard & mustache nets, ear plugs, and face masks are required.
