of the Job As an Architectural Technologist, you will be responsible for the technical development, coordination, and delivery of projects from early design stages through to construction and completion. This is a hands-on position requiring strong technical knowledge, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. You will work closely with architects, consultants, contractors, and clients to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, compliantly, and to a consistently high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Producing detailed technical drawings, construction packages, and specifications
- Preparing and coordinating planning, building regulations, and construction drawings
- Undertaking measured surveys and translating survey data into accurate technical outputs
- Managing projects through technical stages, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met
- Coordinating design information with external consultants, engineers, and contractors
- Ensuring full compliance with current Building Regulations, standards, and legislation
- Working across residential and commercial developments
- Applying knowledge of traditional and modern methods of construction, including timber and steel frame
- Supporting general project administration and technical documentation
- Contributing positively to a collaborative and professional studio environment
- Minimum 3+ years' experience in an Architectural Technologist or similar role
- Degree in Architectural Technology or a related discipline
- Strong capability in technical and construction drawings
- Proven experience managing multiple projects concurrently
- Solid working knowledge of Building Regulations and construction standards
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
- Experience working on residential and/or commercial projects
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence
- Right to work in the United Kingdom
- CIAT qualified or currently working towards CIAT accreditation
- Experience across a range of construction types and project sizes
