About the Role

In this role you will be supporting a young man with autism and epilepsy amongst other conditions, assisting him with areas of his day to day life and providing support in the community and activities he enjoys. This a challenging yet rewarding role, and you will receive full training to allow you to flourish and further your skills. Support work is a highly rewarding role where you assist individuals, often with learning disabilities, mental health needs, or physical challenges, to live as independently and confidently as possible.

As a Support Worker, you'll provide practical help with daily tasks, offer emotional encouragement, and promote social inclusion, enabling people to lead fulfilling lives at home and in the community.

Key responsibilities
  • Supporting individuals with daily living tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and personal care
  • Promoting independence and helping service users develop life skills
  • Providing emotional support and building positive relationships
  • Assisting with medication management (where required and trained)
  • Supporting individuals to access the community, attend appointments, or participate in social activities

    Encouraging and enabling service users to achieve personal goals
  • Maintaining accurate records and reporting any concerns to the care team
  • Ensuring a safe, respectful, and person-centred environment at all times
Key Requirements
  • Must be a driver with access to your own vehicle
  • Flexibility
  • Minimum 6 months of professional care experience
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Up-to-date CV with full work history
