Floating Medical Assistant - Southeast Georgia at Main Street Family Care is seeking a fast, friendly Medical Assistant to work across multiple clinics in Augusta and Milledgeville. The role supports urgent care, primary medical care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine. The ideal applicant will assist the onsite provider with patient intake, assessment, treatment, and discharge. Flexibility is a must. We are hiring for both permanent and seasonal positions;

seasonal positions are non-benefited and may last through March 2026.

• Clinical
  • Prepare examination and treatment rooms with necessary instruments
  • Take patient histories and vital signs
  • Prepare patient for examination and treatment
  • Dispense medication as directed
  • Instruct and educate patients about discharge instructions if applicable
  • Provide solutions to patient concerns within the scope of the position
• Clerical
  • Provide accurate and timely documentation to staff, insurance carriers and companies
  • Correspondence by phone, in person, or in writing regarding patient care (e.g., insurance carriers, physicians)
  • Maintain patient records for clinical use, medical records use, billing use, physicians’ review, etc.
  • Assist with scheduling of tests and treatments
  • Complete opening and closing procedures
• Other Duties
  • Maintain disposable and non-disposable supplies (e.g., wound care supplies, laundry)
  • Annual training as needed
  • Help produce and maintain patient education instruction hand-outs
  • Maintain a clean, professional working/treatment area
  • Accept and assume responsibility for special projects as they arise
  • All other duties as assigned

Clinic staff will be split into two shifts:
Shift A and Shift

B. Each shift will work on a rotating schedule that includes every other weekend.

• Main Street Clinic Hours
  • Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
  • Saturday and Sunday 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
• Kids Street Clinic Hours (Montgomery, Pelham, Mobile only)
  • Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
  • Saturday and Sunday 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
• Floating Medical Assistants are guaranteed 30+ hours per work week, but flexibility for the schedule is a must!

Main Street and Kids Street clinic hours subject to change.

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience working with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Prior medical assisting experience or education is beneficial, but not required

• Position begins at $14/hr
