Powder Coating and Alloy Wheel Technician - CNC Coatings

Overview

CNC Coatings repair, coat and refinish a huge variety of alloy and metal components such as alloy wheels, car and motorcycle parts including suspension parts, bike frames and wheels, and an increasing variety of fabricated parts for a number of key island companies. We now have an exciting opportunity for a Powder Coating and Alloy Wheel Technician to work alongside our small team, carrying out a variety of tasks including preparing parts, wheels, powder coating, and wet painting.

Previous experience in these areas is desirable; however, full training will be provided for the successful candidate to teach the skills and techniques required. We are ideally looking for someone with experience in the automotive industry, who is enthusiastic, with a creative eye. Attention to detail is key, as is being comfortable with the public. Tasks and responsibilities will include:

• Reviewing work, assessing damage and planning workflow.
• Carrying out consistent and high-quality repairs.
• Health and Safety procedures.
• Stripping and preparation of wheels/parts/fabricated parts, etc.
• Repairing surface damage / sandblasting, etc.
• Powder coating.

Skills:

• Eager to learn, with a ‘can do’ attitude.
• A high attention to detail.
• Creativity.
• Enjoys working with members of the public.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Clean driving licence.
• Ability to listen, take instruction, absorb information and process work in a timely manner.
• Excellent Timekeeping.

• 40 hours per week.
• Monday to Friday
• 8:30 to 17:00.

• Above minimum wage / hour
• 20 days holiday plus bank holidays*, and pension*
• Workwear & PPE supplied
