Travel Surgical Tech​/ORT - Certified Surgical Technologist​/CST

American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for a community hospital general OR position requiring at least 2 years of experience.

Requirements

• BLS certification required
• NBSTSA certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CST required
• Meditech charting experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• First-time travelers accepted if they have 6+ years of experience in the role
• License required if applicable

Responsibilities

• Community hospital general OR setting
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required as needed within scope
• No call requirements
• Experience with a broad range of surgical specialties including neuro, orthopedic, podiatry, general, and pediatric general surgery is valued
• Proficiency in aseptic technique, instrument processing, sterilization, and universal protocol (time out) procedures expected
• Familiarity with sterile processing tasks such as assembly/wrap, endoscope reprocessing, and instrument set preparation is beneficial
• Experience with equipment such as drills, electrosurgical units, and fiber optic light sources is useful
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius to qualify for travel rate; local candidates accepted at a lower rate
• RTO must be submitted with application
• References required for consideration
