** Position Summary**:

Responsible for running the BOH operation. Directly responsible for opening/closing the restaurant and assuring all staff arrives for shifts on time, in uniform.
** Essential Functions and Major Responsibilities**:
* Execute all food preparation tasks, including chopping vegetables, portioning meats, and preparing sauces, in accordance with established recipes and quality standards.
* Efficiently cook and assemble a variety of menu items—including breakfast and lunch—on a cooking line. Must be proficient with a variety of cooking methods like grilling, frying, etc.
* Ensure all dishes are consistently prepared to meet standards for quality and visual presentation.
* Operate all kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
* Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations, including proper food handling, storage, and cleaning procedures.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked workstation always, to ensure smooth and efficient service.
* Monitor inventory levels and assist with purchasing.
** Secondary Responsibilities**:
* Must become knowledgeable of Schweitzer Mountain Resort facilities, services and activities.

- Idaho Food Safety Certification (training provided)

- Cooking Skills/Basic kitchen skills

Physical Capabilities
- Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours per shift. Will lift up to 25lbs frequently, 50lbs occasionally and assist lifting up to 100lbs.

- Exposed to fumes, odors, mechanical and burn hazards.
** Education/Related Experience**:

Minimum education required-    English reading, writing and communication, basic math
