Junior Accountant (Mining industry expsore)

We’re looking for a Junior Accountant to join our team in an office-based role.

This is a great opportunity for an accounting professional looking to build experience across financial accounting, reconciliations, VAT, tax, fixed assets and audit support
.

What you’ll be doing :

Processing AP, AR and cash transactions
Preparing journals, reconciliations and calculations
Assisting with VAT and tax calculations
Supporting internal and external audits
Maintaining the fixed asset register
Assisting with cashflow tracking and financial reporting
Supporting governance, compliance and internal controls

What we’re looking for:

Bachelor’s degree / postgraduate diploma in Accounting, Finance or related field
Minimum 2 years’ corporate experience
Knowledge of IFRS and VAT principles
ERP experience advantageous
Professional certification such as SAICA, SAIPA, ACCA or CIMA advantageous
Strong MS Office 365 skills
Mining industry experience advantageous
Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills

Location: Office-based (Sandton Johannesburg)
