Accountant Graduate

The Graduate Accountant will assist the team leader in managing daily accounting and reporting responsibilities within the finance function. This role involves maintaining and enhancing internal financial controls, identifying and mitigating potential financial risks, fostering a cost-saving culture, and discovering cost efficiencies.

• Preparation and capturing of journals
• Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
• Budget preparation and tracking
• Validation of transactions and variance analysis
• Weekly approval of supplier orders, invoices, and staff reimbursements
• Management of accounts receivables
• Liaison with internal and external auditors
• Approval of management expenses invoices and reimbursements
• Conducting ad-hoc financial analysis as required

• BCom degree or equivalent with a major in Financial Accounting
• Fully computer literate with proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel and Word
• High ethical standards and integrity
• Advanced numeracy and knowledge of accounting principles
• Strong reconciliation skills
• Ability to interpret complex contracts and reflect them in financials
• Effective communication at all levels
• Self-initiative and ability to work independently
• Systematic, methodical, and organized approach to work
