Automotive Technician - Diagnostics Specialist

Our client is seeking a highly analytical and skilled Automotive Technician specializing in Diagnostics to join their state-of-the-art service center in Sandton . This role is for a true problem-solver, focused on identifying and resolving complex mechanical and electrical issues that other technicians may struggle with. You will work with advanced diagnostic equipment and be integral to ensuring vehicles are repaired correctly the first time.

• Perform in-depth diagnostics on complex vehicle issues, including engine performance, transmission, ABS, and SRS systems.
• Utilize advanced diagnostic tools, oscilloscopes, multimeters, and factory-specific software.
• Interpret diagnostic data and provide clear, concise repair recommendations.
• Conduct thorough pre- and post-repair inspections to ensure all issues are addressed.
• Stay abreast of the latest diagnostic technologies and automotive repair trends.
• Collaborate with service advisors and other technicians to resolve challenging repair cases efficiently.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Automotive Technician , with a significant focus on diagnostics.
• ASE certifications in diagnostics (e.g., A6, A8, L1) are highly desirable.
• Proficiency with a wide range of automotive diagnostic equipment and software.
• Strong understanding of vehicle electrical systems, engine management, and control modules.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
