Pele is seeking a talented and ambitious graduate to join our Business Development team. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the expansion of the Company's energy related projects.
The graduate will work closely with the Business Development team to identify new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and driving forward our mission to renewable energy solutions.
Job Responsibilities- Prepare technical and commercial documents for client/ stakeholder engagement (e.g proposals, investment memorandum, project overviews, tender documents)
- Assist in developing and implementing business development strategies to expand the company's presence in key markets and target sectors
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess project feasibility, including technical requirements, financial considerations, and regulatory constraints
- Conduct research on topics of interest that advance the Company's business and mission, including clients, thematic work, competitor and partner analyses, and geographic areas
- Assist in conducting due diligence on potential project opportunities, including site assessments, resource evaluations, and risk analysis
- Provide team support for engagement into specific target sectors/client demographics for opportunity advancement.
- General & on-going market research, summary writing and report-writing, for internal purposes, web publishing, and general use
- Prepare Business Development presentations for clients, financing partners, project development partners and technology partners.
- Provide general administrative support to the Business Development Unit as and when required.
- Compile and/or conduct assessment data or desk research, collect preliminary documentation, and support other pre-proposal preparatory activities
- Assist in preparing proposal calendars and update project/deadline trackers
- Support routine and ad-hoc Business Development reporting and meetings
- Ensure that any client, potential client or referrer documentation/contact information, both paper and electronic, is organised and stored correctly and securely, in line with the Company's data protection policy
- Degree in Engineering (all streams can be motivated) or in Finance
- Project Management or Project Finance coursework is essential
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Strong reporting analytics skills
Ability to effectively learn and follow instructions and acquire new knowledge and skills - Proficient in Microsoft Office;
Excel, PowerPoint and Project management tools.
