Civil Project Manager - Hybrid Construction Oversight

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Civil Project Manager to join their team in Sandton , offering a hybrid work model that balances remote administrative tasks with essential on-site project oversight. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful execution of diverse civil engineering and construction projects, from infrastructure development to commercial buildings. You will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating project activities, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

This position requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and a deep understanding of construction processes and project management principles.

• Oversee all phases of civil construction projects, from initial planning and design through to completion and handover.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation strategies.
• Manage and coordinate the work of contractors, subcontractors, and site personnel.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies proactively.
• Liaise with clients, engineers, architects, and regulatory bodies to ensure effective communication and stakeholder satisfaction.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related construction management field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in civil project management and construction oversight.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex infrastructure or building projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and contract management.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6).
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
