* ** Key Responsibilities*
* ** Leadership & Technical Management** + Provide strategic direction and oversight for all mining engineering activities, ensuring alignment with project objectives, industry best practices, and applicable regulatory frameworks. + Lead and coordinate a multidisciplinary engineering team to deliver high‑quality designs, plans, and technical solutions that support safe, efficient, and predictable project execution.
** Cross‑Functional Integration** + Direct and manage interfaces between Mining Engineering and key project disciplines, including Process Engineering, Project Controls, Project Management, Procurement & Contracts, Construction, and client stakeholders. + Ensure seamless collaboration, effective communication, and timely resolution of cross‑disciplinary issues to support integrated and consistent project delivery.
** Cost‑Competitive Execution** + Champion the application of Cost Competitive Execution (CCE) principles to optimise engineering processes and deliver the most cost‑effective total project solution. + Drive value‑engineering initiatives and ensure all technical decisions support efficiency, constructability, operability, and long‑term lifecycle value.
** Project Delivery, Compliance & Quality Assurance** + Monitor performance against baseline man‑hour and material budgets, implement effective change‑management practices, and provide timely reporting on key variances. + Maintain proactive communication with Engineering Department Managers, ensuring all deliverables meet required specifications, quality standards, and regulatory obligations.

Job Requirements ** + Accredited four (4)‑year degree or global equivalent in an engineering discipline and a minimum of twelve (12) years of relevant work experience. + Professional certification or registration in the applicable field, where required. + Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with management, colleagues, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders. + Ability to understand, apply, and comply with local, regional, and national regulations and guidelines.

Job Requirements ** + Demonstrated experience in process plants and materials handling. + Strong competency in effort‑hour estimating and staffing forecasts. + Proven leadership, team‑building, and influencing capabilities to drive cross‑functional alignment. + Experience in full project lifecycle management—including project setup, development of control‑level schedules, progress tracking, and project close‑out. + High resilience and ability to operate effectively under pressure in fast‑paced project environments.
