- Provide on-site and remote commissioning of BESS systems, PCS, and PV inverters. Delivering technical services support to customers effectively and on time.
- Perform on-site and remote technical support and troubleshooting and testing of solar inverters on-site.
- Leading or assisting with the support of assigned projects.
- Coordinate with R&D engineering in China if required help during troubleshooting.
- Provide service technical reports to customers and to supervisor during and after site visits in a timeously manner.
- Monitoring and maintaining electrical equipment or machinery performance.
- Provide feedback to customers with regards to the status of the open service case ticket.
- Take ownership of customer issues and follow problems through to resolution with HQ support.
- Ordering and restocking materials when it is required.
- Participating in ongoing training to keep up to date with the latest developments.
- Providing clear feedback to the customer and reporting Manager
- 3-5 years’ experience in the PV or BESS renewable industry sector.
- Experience in troubleshooting or commissioning of commercial and utility scale BESS and PV inverters will be advantageous.
- Must possess the ability to work with test equipment and hand tools as required.
- Must possess customer service, problem-solving skills, possess decision making and analytical skills.
- Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to closely follow instruction and pre-established procedures/SOP to perform the duties effectively.
- Must be willing to provide service locally and to other African countries.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, power Point and Outlook) OSHA, NSPA
70A, Electrical Safety - Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering from accredited university or college.
- First aid, Firefighting and ORHVS certificates will be advantageous.
- ECSA and other institution registered Engineer will be advantageous.
- Other Insitute Certification training on Solar/ Energy Renewable will be advantageous.
- Must be proficient in Electrical Safety & Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Experience in troubleshooting or commissioning utility-scale BESS or PV inverters is advantageous.
- Proven experience working as an engineer in the PV or BESS sector.
- Must possess the ability to work with test equipment and hand tools as required.
- Must possess service, problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.
- Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Must closely follow instructions and pre-established procedures/SOPs to perform the duties effectively.
- Must be willing to provide service locally and to other African countries.
