This exciting opportunity is ideal for a candidate with proven experience in energy proposals, tendering, process design, costing, and technical solution development across projects such as renewable energy, power generation, waste-to-energy, CHP systems, and related industrial energy solutions.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in the preparation of high-quality, competitive tenders and proposals, while collaborating closely with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal technical teams to deliver innovative and commercially viable energy solutions.

If you thrive in a deadline-driven environment, enjoy solving complex technical challenges, and have a strong understanding of both engineering and commercial tender processes — we would love to hear from you.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead and coordinate the preparation and submission of technical tenders, quotations, and commercial proposals within the energy sector.
  • Develop accurate CAPEX and OPEX cost models to ensure commercially competitive submissions.
  • Analyse tender specifications, client requirements, and contractual documentation to ensure full technical compliance.
  • Prepare technical documentation including process descriptions, datasheets, PFDs, P&IDs, schedules, and supporting engineering deliverables where required.
  • Engage with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to obtain pricing, evaluate technical submissions, and support procurement strategies.
  • Participate in technical reviews, risk assessments, value engineering exercises, and project planning discussions.
  • Support the development of innovative and cost-effective energy solutions aligned with industry best practices and company standards.
  • Liaise directly with clients to manage technical clarifications and maintain strong professional relationships throughout the tender process.
  • Conduct site visits, audits, and technical evaluations where necessary.
  • Collaborate with operational and execution teams to ensure smooth transition from tender award through to project implementation.
  • Assist in maintaining proposal templates, costing tools, tender databases, and CRM systems.
  • Stay informed on emerging technologies, market trends, and advancements within the renewable energy and industrial energy sectors.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and ISO standards throughout all tendering activities.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND COMPETENCIES
  • BTech, BSc or equivalent qualification in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Electronic, Chemical or related discipline).
  • Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in tendering, proposal development, or technical sales engineering within the energy sector.
  • Strong exposure to renewable energy systems, energy efficiency solutions, power generation, CHP systems, turbines, grid integration, or waste-to-energy projects.
  • Proven ability to develop technical and commercial proposals for complex engineering projects.
  • Sound understanding of commercial contracts, project costing methodologies, and risk management principles.
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications, client requirements, and engineering documentation.
  • Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously while working under tight deadlines.
  • A proactive, detail-oriented, and collaborative approach with strong stakeholder engagement skills.
