About the Role
Our client is looking for an accomplished Senior Urban Civil Engineer to lead key urban development projects within their Sandton office. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of integrated urban infrastructure design, encompassing water, sanitation, roads, and stormwater management within complex urban environments. You will be responsible for guiding design teams, managing client relationships, and ensuring that projects contribute positively to urban growth and liveability.

- Lead the design and planning of integrated civil infrastructure for urban development projects.
- Manage the delivery of projects related to water supply, wastewater systems, roads, and stormwater drainage.
- Oversee junior engineers and technicians, providing technical direction and mentorship.
- Liaise effectively with clients, municipal authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
- Ensure designs adhere to relevant municipal by-laws, engineering standards, and environmental regulations.
- Contribute to business development efforts and the preparation of project proposals.
- Master's degree in Civil Engineering, with a strong focus on urban infrastructure.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in urban civil engineering design and project management.
- Proven ability to manage complex urban development projects from conception to completion.
- In-depth knowledge of municipal infrastructure design standards and South African planning regulations.
- Proficiency in relevant design software and project management tools.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
