About the Role
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Aircraft Certification Specialist to join their regulatory compliance team in Sandton . This critical role ensures that all aircraft and related systems meet stringent national and international aviation standards and regulations. You will be responsible for preparing certification documentation, liaising with aviation authorities, and managing the certification process from development through to final approval.
The ideal candidate possesses a thorough understanding of aviation regulatory frameworks and has a proven track record in navigating complex certification pathways, contributing to market access for our client's products from Sandton .
- Develop and execute comprehensive certification plans for aircraft and aerospace systems.
- Prepare and submit required documentation to aviation regulatory authorities (e.g., SA-CASA, FAA, EASA).
- Liaise with regulatory bodies, respond to queries, and facilitate inspections and reviews.
- Interpret and apply complex aviation regulations to ensure design and manufacturing compliance.
- Coordinate with engineering, quality assurance, and production teams to ensure all certification requirements are met.
- Monitor changes in regulations and standard
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in aircraft certification, regulatory affairs, or a related role within the aerospace industry.
- In-depth knowledge of aviation regulations and certification processes for aircraft and major components.
- Experience preparing and managing certification documentation packages.
- Strong understanding of aerospace design, manufacturing, and quality assurance principles.
