About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Industrial Engineer to focus on facility design and layout optimization for their operations in Sandton . This role is essential for ensuring that our production facilities are configured for maximum efficiency, safety, and productivity. You will be responsible for analyzing space utilization, designing optimal workflows, and implementing layout changes that support our manufacturing and operational goals.

The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of ergonomic principles and materials handling, contributing to a more efficient and effective work environment.

• Design and optimize plant layouts and production line configurations to enhance material flow and efficiency.
• Conduct detailed analysis of existing facility space utilization and propose improvements.
• Develop 2D and 3D models of facility layouts using CAD software.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and safety teams to ensure designs meet all operational and regulatory requirements.
• Implement layout changes, manage installation projects, and ensure smooth transitions.
• Evaluate and recommend equipment and systems for material handling and production processes.

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in facility layout design and process flow optimization.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, ergonomics, and safety standards.
