Mechanical Project Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a dynamic and organized Mechanical Project Engineer to manage and execute engineering projects in the Sandton area. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and strong project management skills to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will be involved in all phases of the project lifecycle, from planning and design through to execution and closeout.

• Plan, execute, and finalize mechanical engineering projects according to strict deadlines and budget.
• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
• Manage project documentation, including schedules, risk assessments, and progress reports.
• Ensure technical integrity and quality of all project deliverables.
• Facilitate communication between project teams, clients, and other departments.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, with at least 2 years in project management.
• Proven track record of successfully managing engineering projects.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, design principles, and manufacturing processes.
