About the Role
Our client is looking for a proficient Civil Transportation Engineer to join their esteemed team in Sandton . This role focuses on the planning, design, and implementation of transportation infrastructure projects, including roads, highways, intersections, and public transport systems. You will be instrumental in developing innovative solutions to improve traffic flow, safety, and connectivity across the region. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of traffic engineering principles and a passion for creating efficient and sustainable transportation networks in Gauteng .
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop transportation infrastructure, including roadway geometrics, intersection design, and traffic control systems.
- Conduct traffic studies, capacity analysis, and modeling using specialized software.
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Ensure designs comply with national transportation standards, safety regulations, and environmental policies.
- Collaborate with urban planners, architects, and other stakeholders to integrate transportation solutions.
- Oversee construction activities related to transportation projects, ensuring quality and adherence to design intent.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Transportation Engineering.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in transportation engineering design and project management.
- Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in transportation planning and design software, such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, VISSIM, SIDRA INTERSECTION.
- Strong knowledge of traffic engineering principles, geometric design, and safety standards.
