Civil Engineering Technologist; Pr Tech Eng

A well-established civil engineering consultancy based in Sandton, Johannesburg, is currently seeking a Civil Engineering Technologist (office-based in Sandton, JHB) to join their dynamic team.

• Support the design and development of road infrastructure projects at municipal and provincial levels.
• Undertake roads design tasks, including stormwater management
  , geometrics
  , pavements
  , sewer and water reticulation
  , and bulk earthworks computations
  .
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards and specifications, including SANS/SABS 1200
  , COLTO
  , and applicable Bills of Quantities
  .
• Utilize civil design software—such as Civil 3D
  , Model Maker
  , Road Maker
  , or AutoCAD
  —effectively in project execution.
• Collaborate closely with senior engineers and project teams in both design and implementation phases.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  .
• Must be professionally registered as a Professional Technologist (Pr. Tech. Eng.) with ECSA
  —
  mandatory
  .
• 3–5 years of post-registration experience in civil engineering technologist roles.
• Proven experience in roads projects (municipal and provincial);
  SANRAL experience is highly recommended.
• Strong technical understanding of stormwater design
  , geometrics
  , pavements
  , sewer/water reticulation
  , and bulk earthworks
  .
• Proficient with SANS/SABS 1200
  , COLTO
  , and Bills of Quantities
  .
• Familiar with at least one civil design platform:
  Civil 3D
  , Model Maker
  , Road Maker
  , or AutoCAD
  .
