About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled and proactive Facilities Engineer to manage and maintain their operational infrastructure in Sandton . This role is essential for ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of company facilities that support the Oil & Gas industry . You will be responsible for the design, construction, maintenance, and repair of plant equipment, utilities, and buildings. Collaborating with various departments, you will oversee maintenance programs, manage contractors, and implement projects to improve facility performance and safety.
Your contribution will be key to maintaining operational continuity and supporting business objectives.
- Oversee the maintenance, repair, and upgrade of plant equipment, utilities, and structures.
- Develop and manage preventative and predictive maintenance programs for facility assets.
- Plan and execute capital projects related to facility upgrades and expansions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, environmental, and building codes.
- Manage external contractors and service providers involved in facility maintenance and construction.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to facility operations.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- 3+ years of experience in facilities engineering or plant maintenance, preferably in the oil and gas sector .
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, HVAC, and building infrastructure.
- Experience with project management and contractor supervision.
- Familiarity with HSE requirements and best practices in an industrial environment.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and good communication skills.
