About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Petroleum Engineer to join their reservoir management team in Sandton . This role focuses on optimizing hydrocarbon recovery from existing oil and gas fields, developing production strategies, and evaluating new opportunities within the Gauteng region and beyond. You will utilize advanced analytical techniques and simulation tools to enhance reservoir performance, increase production rates, and maximize asset value.

- Analyze reservoir performance data, including production rates, pressure trends, and fluid properties.
- Develop and implement optimized production and injection strategies to maximize hydrocarbon recovery.
- Utilize reservoir simulation software to model fluid flow and predict future reservoir behavior.
- Perform economic evaluations for development projects and field optimization initiatives.
- Collaborate with geologists, drilling engineers, and production staff to ensure integrated field development.
- Prepare technical reports, present findings, and make recommendations to management and stakeholders.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in petroleum engineering, with a strong focus on reservoir management and development.
- Proficiency in reservoir simulation software (e.g., Eclipse, CMG) and production analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of reservoir physics, fluid properties, and enhanced oil recovery (EOR) techniques.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and manage projects.
