Our client seeks a highly experienced and strategic Principal Industrial Engineer to lead complex engineering initiatives within their prominent operations in Sandton . This senior role involves setting the technical direction for process improvements, driving innovation, and mentoring junior engineering staff. You will be responsible for architecting large-scale optimization projects that significantly impact productivity, cost-effectiveness, and overall business performance. This is a leadership position for an engineer with a proven track record of delivering transformative results in industrial settings.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the strategic planning and execution of major industrial engineering projects across multiple facilities.
- Develop and implement advanced process optimization methodologies , including sophisticated Lean and Six Sigma programs.
- Architect and design complex production systems, supply chains, and operational workflows.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of industrial engineers and analysts.
- Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and ROI analyses for major capital investments and process changes.
- Act as a subject matter expert on best practices in industrial engineering and operational excellence for the Sandton region and beyond.
- Master's or Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in industrial engineering, with a significant portion in leadership or principal roles.
- Extensive experience in leading and implementing large-scale process improvement and operational transformation projects.
- Deep expertise in operations research , simulation, Lean, Six Sigma, and advanced data analytics.
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior management and drive change across an organization.
- Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and complex problem-solving skills.
