Senior Metallurgist - Mineral Processing

Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Metallurgist to lead their mineral processing operations near Sandton . This key role involves optimizing the extraction and recovery of valuable minerals from ore, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and environmental responsibility. You will be responsible for the technical direction of the processing plant, troubleshooting operational issues, and implementing innovative solutions to improve recovery rates and product quality.

• Oversee and optimize all aspects of the mineral processing plant, including crushing, grinding, flotation, and leaching circuits.
• Develop and implement strategies to maximize metal recovery and minimize processing costs.

• Troubleshoot operational problems and provide technical solutions to plant personnel.
• Ensure all processing activities comply with environmental regulations and safety standards.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.

• Experience with various metallurgical unit processes and circuit simulation software.
