Senior Reservoir Engineer - Modelling

Our client is seeking a highly specialized Senior Reservoir Engineer with a strong focus on Modelling to join their team in Sandton . This role is essential for developing and refining complex reservoir simulation models that guide exploration, development, and production strategies. You will integrate geological, geophysical, and engineering data to create accurate predictive models, optimize recovery, and assess economic potential.

• Build, calibrate, and validate advanced reservoir simulation models for various field development scenarios.
• Perform sensitivity analyses and uncertainty assessments related to reservoir parameters and performance.
• Develop strategies for optimizing hydrocarbon recovery using simulation results and production data.
• Collaborate with geoscientists and production engineers to ensure integrated subsurface interpretation and decision-making.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and recommendations based on simulation studies.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in reservoir modelling techniques and software.

• Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience specifically in reservoir modelling and simulation.
• Expert proficiency with industry-standard reservoir simulators (e.g., Eclipse, CMG) and associated pre/post-processors.
• Strong understanding of fluid flow in porous media, reservoir characterization, and geological concepts.
• Demonstrated success in developing and utilizing models for decision support in field development and production planning.
