Senior Electrical Engineer - Building Services

Our client seeks a highly experienced Senior Electrical Engineer specializing in Building Services to join their prestigious design consultancy in Sandton. You will lead the electrical design for a variety of complex commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments, ensuring that systems are efficient, compliant, and meet client objectives. This role involves close collaboration with architects, other engineering disciplines, and clients, providing technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers.

• Lead the design and specification of electrical systems for buildings, including power distribution, lighting, emergency systems, and fire detection.
• Develop detailed electrical drawings, schematics, and calculations using industry-standard software.

• Coordinate electrical designs with architectural and structural plans, and other building services.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 7+ years of experience in electrical design for building services.
• Proven experience leading electrical design projects for large-scale developments.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and lighting design software.
• Strong knowledge of low-voltage distribution, LV switch gear, and building management systems (BMS).
• Excellent communication, leadership, and client-facing skills.
