Chemical Engineer - Plant

Our client is looking for a proactive Chemical Engineer to provide essential plant support for their operations in Sandton . This role focuses on providing technical expertise to troubleshoot operational issues, improve process efficiency, and ensure the safe and reliable functioning of chemical production units. You will work closely with operations, maintenance, and management teams to address daily challenges and implement solutions that enhance productivity and safety.

This is a hands-on role ideal for an engineer who enjoys problem-solving in a dynamic plant environment.

• Provide technical support to production operations, resolving process-related issues promptly.
• Conduct root cause analysis for production upsets and equipment failures.
• Develop and implement process improvements to increase yield, reduce waste, and lower costs.
• Assist in the management of change (MOC) process for equipment and process modifications.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations within the plant.
• Prepare technical reports, procedures, and training materials.

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering .
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a chemical plant or similar industrial setting.
• Strong understanding of chemical process principles and equipment.
• Experience with process troubleshooting and optimization techniques.
• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
