Our client is seeking a visionary Urban Planning Engineer to contribute to the sustainable development and growth of Sandton and surrounding areas. - Develop comprehensive urban and regional plans, including land use, transportation, and infrastructure strategies.
- Conduct spatial analysis, demographic studies, and environmental impact assessments for development proposals.
- Design and plan public spaces, transportation networks, and utility systems for new and existing urban areas.
- Engage with community members, developers, and government officials to gather input and build consensus.
- Prepare planning reports, policy recommendations, and zoning regulations.
- Ensure proposed developments comply with planning legislation, environmental standards, and community needs.
- Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or a related field with a strong planning focus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in urban planning, land development, or municipal engineering.
- Proficiency in GIS software, CAD, and urban design visualization tools.
- Strong understanding of planning principles, zoning laws, and environmental regulations in South Africa . Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
