Key Account Manager

• Develop and expand South African engineering channels, establish and maintain relationships with engineering clients, developers, contractors, design/consulting firms and other key partners.
• Formulate engineering channel development plans and project expansion strategies aligned with corporate engineering business objectives, continuously identify engineering project opportunities, and build and manage the engineering project pipeline.
• Manage client relationships for key engineering accounts and major projects to foster long-term partnerships; identify priority project opportunities through market insights, client requirements and project intelligence.
• Gain in-depth understanding of client and project needs, coordinate internal resources to deliver tailored engineering products and solutions, and prepare engineering proposals, product configurations and project quotations.
• Lead bidding, quotation and commercial proposal execution for engineering projects; conduct commercial negotiations covering pricing, payment terms, delivery conditions and service requirements, as well as contract negotiation and execution for engineering projects.
• Oversee cost, commercial terms and profitability of key projects, and continuously improve bid win rate and project conversion efficiency.
• Manage end-to-end project lifecycle from contract award to delivery, aligning supply chain, logistics, service and relevant departments to ensure on-schedule project delivery.
• Track critical milestones including project orders, stock preparation, delivery, installation and after-sales service; proactively identify and resolve major issues in project delivery and service.
• Develop and implement collection plans for engineering project revenue, monitor contract payment milestones, and detect and mitigate payment collection risks in a timely manner.
• Conduct full-lifecycle operational management covering engineering project sales, ordering, delivery, payment collection and profitability, perform regular Business Reviews and drive continuous improvement.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering channels or engineering projects within the home appliance industry, with solid knowledge of home appliance project development and operation workflows.
• Familiar with South African engineering channels and project market, with established engineering client and industry networks.
• Proficient in the full engineering project lifecycle: opportunity identification, proposal design, bidding & quotation, commercial negotiation, bid award, contract signing, delivery and payment collection.
• Capable of engineering channel development, project pipeline management, engineering solution design, product configuration and project quotation.
• Possess project management, risk management and supply chain collaboration capabilities; able to coordinate sales, product, technical, supply chain, logistics and service teams to deliver projects.
• Knowledgeable of engineering project contracts, payment terms, delivery clauses and relevant commercial governance requirements.
• Strong in engineering account management and commercial negotiation; able to maintain long-term partnerships with developers, contractors, engineering clients and key decision-makers.
• Competent in market analysis, project evaluation and commercial opportunity identification.
• Excellent English proficiency for business communication and commercial negotiation.
• Strong problem-solving skills, capable of identifying project risks and closing issues across commercial, supply chain, delivery and service domains.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification. Majors in Engineering Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Construction Engineering or related fields are preferred.
