• Develop comprehensive structural drawings, specifications, and technical reports using advanced engineering software.
• Ensure designs comply with all relevant building codes, SANS standards, and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with architectural and multidisciplinary teams throughout the design and construction phases.
• Manage structural project timelines and budgets effectively.
• Conduct site inspections to monitor construction quality and provide technical support.
• Review and approve structural calculations, shop drawings, and construction methodologies.
• Mentor and guide junior structural engineers and technicians.
• Stay abreast of new materials, technologies, and best practices in structural engineering.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders to present design solutions and address concerns.

• BEng or BSc in Civil Engineering, with a specialization in Structural Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration with ECSA is essential.
• A minimum of 7 years of post-graduate experience focused on structural design for commercial and industrial buildings.
• Proven experience in managing structural aspects of significant building projects in South Africa , particularly in the Gauteng area.
• Expertise in structural analysis and design software (e.g., ETABS, SAP
  2000, Revit Structure, Tekla Structures).
• Thorough knowledge of concrete, steel, and composite structural design principles.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet demanding deadlines.
• Strong understanding of contract administration and site supervision principles.
