About the Role
Our client is seeking a seasoned and dynamic Events Manager specializing in Sports & Entertainment to lead their event operations in Sandton . This high-profile role demands exceptional organizational skills, creativity, and a proven track record in managing large-scale events from conception to execution. You will be responsible for overseeing all logistical, operational, and financial aspects of sports tournaments, concerts, and other entertainment events, ensuring seamless delivery and outstanding attendee experiences.

- Develop comprehensive event plans, including budgets, timelines, staffing requirements, and logistical arrangements for all assigned events.
- Source and manage relationships with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to ensure the highest quality services and cost-effectiveness.
- Oversee event execution on-site, managing staff, volunteers, security, and troubleshooting any issues that arise.
- Ensure all events comply with relevant health, safety, security, and licensing regulations.
- Collaborate with marketing, sponsorship, and programming teams to create integrated and impactful event experiences that meet client objectives.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in event management, with a strong focus on sports and entertainment events.
- Demonstrated success in managing complex events with large budgets and multiple stakeholders.
- Exceptional organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate teams.
