SAP FI Lead - Blue Pearl HQ

We are seeking an experienced and strategic SAP FI Lead Consultant to oversee the design, implementation, and support of SAP Financial Accounting (FI) solutions within a banking environment. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in SAP FI modules, strong leadership capabilities, and a solid understanding of banking processes, regulatory compliance, and financial reporting standards.

• Lead SAP FI implementation and enhancement projects, ensuring alignment with banking business processes.
• Collaborate with finance stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into SAP solutions.
• Configure and support SAP FI modules including GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, and Bank Accounting.
• Integrate SAP FI with other modules (CO, MM, SD) and external banking systems (e.g., SWIFT, treasury platforms).
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and other financial regulations.
• Manage and mentor a team of SAP FI consultants and developers.
• Oversee testing, training, and change management activities.
• Provide post-go-live support and continuous improvement recommendations.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field.
• SAP FI or S/4
  
  HANA Finance Certification.
• Minimum 10+ years of hands‑on experience in SAP Financial Accounting (FI), including at least 2 years in a lead or senior consultant role.
• Proven experience in SAP FI implementations in the banking or financial services sector.
• Strong knowledge of financial processes, regulatory reporting, and banking integrations.
• Expertise in General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), and Bank Accounting.
• Experience with SAP S/4
  
  HANA Finance, including at least 2–3 years working with S/4
  
  HANA Finance and familiarity with Universal Journal, New Asset Accounting, and Central Finance.
• Minimum 3 years working in a regulated banking or financial services environment, with strong understanding of banking operations, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance (e.g., IFRS, Basel III).
• Proven experience integrating SAP FI with SAP CO, SAP MM, and SAP SD.
• Experience leading SAP FI implementation or upgrade projects, managing cross‑functional teams and coordinating with business and technical stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of audit controls, internal financial governance, and SOX/POPIA compliance.
• Experience with financial reporting tools (e.g., SAP Fiori apps, SAC, or embedded analytics) and supporting month‑end/year‑end closing processes and statutory reporting.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with finance executives, auditors, and project sponsors, and ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
